2 sons<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.allmovie.com\/cg\/avg.dll?p=avg&amp;sql=B88058\">All-Movie Guide<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/us.imdb.com\/name\/nm0233027\/\">Internet Movie Database<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Martin  recently appeared in season two of the critically acclaimed Showtime  television series <strong><em>Weeds <\/em><\/strong> playing Mary-Louise Parker\u2019s love interest for which he was <strong>nominated  for a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by An Ensemble in a Comedy  Series<\/strong>.\u00a0 This continues a string of collaborations with Ms.  Parker including MGM\u2019s <strong><em>Saved!,<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em> the romantic comedy <strong><em>Pipe Dream<\/em><\/strong> and Jane Campion\u2019s <strong><em> The Portrait of A Lady<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This  year he will be seen opposite Virginia Madsen in <strong><em>A Haunting in  Connecticut. <\/em><\/strong>Recently he was seen in <strong><em>The Sentinel<\/em><\/strong> with Keifer Sutherland and Michael Douglas<strong><em> <\/em><\/strong> as well as the unsettling family drama <strong><em>The Quiet<\/em><\/strong> with  Edie Falco. 2007 also included the suspense horror film <strong><em>Wind Chill<\/em><\/strong> with Emily Blunt and Ashton Holmes.<\/p>\n<p>Other  recent film appearances are in the Matthew Ryan Hope-directed<em> <\/em> <strong><em>The United States of Leland<\/em><\/strong> with Ryan Gosling and Don  Cheadle.\u00a0 Martin also starred opposite Al Pacino in director Chris  Nolan\u2019s <strong><em>Insomnia<\/em> <\/strong>for Warner Bros.<em> <\/em> as well as MGM\u2019s <strong><em>Agent Cody Banks<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 Other film  credits include the critically acclaimed<em> <\/em> <strong><em>The Opposite of Sex<\/em>, <\/strong> as well as<strong> <\/strong> <strong><em>Living Out Loud<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>In a Savage  Land<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Onegin<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Heaven<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Hollow  Reed<\/em><\/strong>, and <strong><em>Nadja<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In <strong><em> The Portrait of A Lady<\/em><\/strong> Martin played Nicole Kidman\u2019s doomed  cousin and admirer for which he won the <strong>National Society of Film  Critic\u2019s Award<\/strong> for best supporting actor.<\/p>\n<p>Donovan  has enjoyed a long association with celebrated director Hal Hartley,  starring in several of his films including <strong><em>Amateur<\/em><\/strong> which  was selected for both the Cannes and New York Film Festivals.\u00a0  Other Hartley collaborations are <strong><em>Simple Men<\/em><\/strong>, which was  also an official Cannes selection; <strong><em>Trust<\/em>,  <em>Surviving Desire<\/em>, <em>Flirt<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>The Book of Life<\/em><\/strong>,  which was shown at the New York Film Festival.<\/p>\n<p>Martin\u2019s  most recent TV credits include starring in the <strong><em>Masters of Horror<\/em><\/strong>: <strong><em> Right to Life <\/em><\/strong>for Showtime;
